it’s happening…

so if you recall, next up on my bucket list is venice. and omg, omg, omg…we are a go…

so here’s the thing, last year i took stock and decided that there are some definite places in this world that i want to see while i still can, venice is tops on the list. i just haaaaaave to see it for myself.

since travel was in my future, and i am neither heir nor spare, i had to figure out how to get to these places realistically. so here is what i did.

i applied for a travel credit card. united, to be exact, because they are my preferred airline. i then switched every bill that i could pay via cc to automatically be paid with the card. then i stopped paying for things with debit cards and cash, and instead swiped that good ole’ card. then i just transferred the cash that i would be spending over to the card. and man, does that take some discipline. trust me, i’m a work in progress in this regard. but it is paying off. now i am getting miles for money i would be spending anyway. and. and. i just used 100% of the miles i accumulated to book my trip to venice.

y’all. i am beyond excited. and blessed. i have no idea what i’m doing once i get there, but i’m going. and i just had to share.
