copays, durell and montell…

so where did we leave off? deodorant. i’ll keep you updated. so far so good, tho. now lets talk verzenio.

remember that high dollar amount i told you my meds cost? and that i was worried about changes in our insurance and what impact that would have on me and my treatment plan in twenty-twenty-one? well here goes…the short answer is my fears were unwarranted. pills are still covered. those copays tho. yeah i didn’t have to deal with them at all last year. my biopsies alone maxed out my out-of-pocket costs for the year. speaking of which why are bills a thing? i need to dust off my camera. that onlyfans isn’t gonna start itself. know anyone who’s into feet?!!

ok, im getting off topic. my verzenio copay is 150 united states dollars. i aint got it man. how can i register for the rent (mortgage) is too damned high party? maybe biden didn’t win the election after-all…

here’s your story. so last month i called to refill my scrip with the specialty pharmacy. when the woman on the line told me what my copay was i shed a thug tear and gave her my digits. i hated to do it, but yeah meds are meds and i need ’em. y’all i wasn’t off the phone 5 minutes before i realized/remembered that when i called in december’s refill the rep told me that verzenio has a copay card i can sign up for, and it would reduce my copays.

how in the hell did i forget that? i immediately found the number and called to sign up. y’all, that rep pointed me to a website. i completed the online app and bam, i had the card. it was easy peasy. btw why is this card available only to people who have commercial insurance? and it seems to me that if these companies can issue these saving cards to reduce the costs of their own product, they should be able to just REDUCE THE COST ACROSS THE BOARD. FOR EVERYONE. does that make me a socialist? whatever, guess i’ll avoid looking directly at the horse and whatnot and move on. anywho, next i had to call back and try to reverse the transaction so i could use the card and keep my one fiddy.

here’s the part in the story where i had to tell a few not truths. no apologies. i have cancer. so i called and told the rep that i just placed my order, forgot to apply my copay card, and can she apply it to my order. she took the info then basically told me i was sol and the discount could only be applied to future orders. y’all, i was furious. mainly with myself, but also at her. because i knew something could be done. the meds hadn’t shipped yet, after all. so then i called my card company and basically begged them to decline the transaction. how crazy is that? these bastards will decline at the drop of a hat, but NOW they wanna act like i have have good credit and everything can go through. had i been at david yurman, they would’ve been singing an entirely different tune. ugh. i had to switch tactics.

ok so boom, we’re at the part in the story where i had to take the not-truths up a notch. i called back and explained to the new rep that i had used the wrong card and need to switch it. she was going to help me…i was put on hold while she figured out what to do. now we’re getting somewhere…YAY. i’m on the phone smiling like a cheshire cat. but we all know things for me are never that simple. the call drops after she had come back to the line smack dab in the middle of us figuring out what/how to do the swap. damnit. now i have to call back and give another rep the spiel. ok so bet. im on the phone with rep 3. we go through the rigamarole, i give him the rundown and he’s super helpful, too. he even takes down my info in case the call disconnects. like, we are getting somewhere. i’m in the red zone, finally, with a clear path to the end zone. (superbowl soon come, i’m getting in the spirit) fast-forward a bit to the part where dude gets it done. charge is reversed. he is now ready to take the new card info. record scratch.

chile, we have now driven so far over the border we have arrived at the part in the story where i just had to flat out lie and let me reiterate…

so yeah, i explain to him that i’m not comfortable giving him the new card right then. i have to make sure the charges reverse, and we all know that can take a few days, before i would be comfortable processing the order with the correct card info. i mean, who can afford to have two charges go through? y’all, he was so damned understanding. i almost felt bad. then i remembered, i’m broke.

so yeah. when the charges reversed, i called and placed the new order. since the copay card was on file, there was not nary a mention of a cost that i would have to incur. so for once, my bank account was where the money resode (lmao). and that’s on joseph’s baby momma and her livestock. wait. was joseph “trapped”?

anywho…ladies and gentleman, tonight i’ll leave you with a song…
