i guess it’s high time we talk about my cancer

now let’s get this stated right out the gate. i am not the end-all-know-all on cancer, hell i’m not even all that informed about MY cancer. yet. this is new. and we just gonna have to learn this shit together. i mean, it’s not like i haven’t been given ample study materials, and these here internets are at my disposal.

just…like…what can i say…procrastinators gonna procrastinate. amirite.

my official diagnosis can be broken down as follows:

  • invasive ductal carcinoma
  • estrogen and progesterone receptor positive
  • metastasis in lymph nodes
  • enhancing metastatic lesion noted in the posterior inferior T9 vertebral body
  • metastasis noted in the superior anterior T11 vertebral body
  • scattered small metastatic lesions in the iliac bones and partially imaged sacral alar regions as well as the L2 and L4 vertebral bodies

also, if that wasn’t enough — apparently i have variant anatomy. i only have 11 thoracic vertebrae when i should have 12. who knew? guess i can stop fudging my height on forms…

technically, breast cancer, because of the origin. but basically, all of that metastasis means i’m at stage iv. stage iv only — and i realize only is not the right word back there — means that the cancer has spread to other parts of my body.

so yeah, fckUcancer.

i had big aspirations in my head when i started drafting this post…really expected the words to flow through me. figured once i rifled through all the various reports i would know what i really wanted/needed to say.

guess what. i’m still clueless. all i have managed to do is officially define my cancer.

that’s it. that’s the post. ain’t really shit else to say. tomorrow, we radiate.

You are brave, beautiful and wise beyond you years Anna. But as I read this post tonight, before going to the war room, I was reminded that, it doesn’t matter what the doctors say. Now don’t get me wrong, I thank God for them and I m praying that your doctors are the smartest doctors to walk this earth. But it doesn’t matter what they say today, because God is able to cure cancer. No matter what kind of cancer it is. So while you do everything your doctors tell you to do ( do your part) I and the village will do our part and remind God of what his word says, and what he has promised his children. That no weapon formed against us will prosper. We are Standing in the gap for you. ❤️🥰🙏🏽

    Psalm 46:1‭-‬3 ESV
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah

Praise God Momma Sharon, a spoken word. We are praying for you Anna and we love you so much! Yes, God most definitely is the decider of our destiny. I am also praying for the doctors, nurses, residents, radiologists and all staff members that come in contact with you. NO WEAPON FORMED against you will prosper. Be strong my friend and continue to fight until you can tell this cancer to KICK ROCKS!

Loving God, I pray that you will comfort Anna in her time of need, anoint the hands and minds of all who are caring for her and bless the means used for curing her. Give her the confidence in the power of your grace that even when/if she may be afraid, may she put her whole trust in you. In Jesus mighty name, Amen.
