From 1987-1992, she worked as a (MOS) 77F20 Petroleum Handler, then from 1996-2003 she worked with the National Guard as a (MOS) 63H20 Track Vehicle Mechanic.

During her years on Active Duty, Andrea’s education and accomplishments would extend way beyond the military and into many other faucets of learning and success. In 1995, she graduated from the College of Cosmetology as an Aesthetician in Ft. Hood, TX. Then from 2000-2004, she became a certified home daycare provider in Ft Leavenworth, KS, where she received a child daycare award in 2001 and 2004. Andrea didn’t stop there, her tenacity to learn and succeed continued. Three children were born to this Union, Brett Jr, Brandon, and Breshod, whom she dearly loved. Andrea Marietta Stokes was born with the purest heart. She’s was a very kind, smart, genuine, infectious, and loving person. Although she was a wife and mother of 3 sons, meaning the only female in the house, she was the glue and strength of the family. The love she gave to her family helped each of them grow and succeed, and she was the core value that kept the family together.

Andrea is the Queen, Brett Sr. is the King, and Brett Jr., Brandon and Breshod are her Prince’s. Even in their grief, Brett expresses gratitude to God for them being gifted with such a wonderful wife and mother to love, who in return loved them even more. He speaks of her life and states “My kids and I were blessed to have a woman with such a loving character.”

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
