apparently time also flies when you are laid up not doing much of anything. who knew? we are already past the 4 week mark so let me get you up to speed…
i am now drain free. and it felt like it took forever for me to get here. those damned drains are so annoying. my arm movement is still restricted. i cannot take forward facing showers yet. but, i was cleared to drive!!
i met with the radiation oncologist earlier this week and he let me know that when i am cleared for radiation, i will only have to do sixteen rounds versus the twenty that was estimated. so, good news. before starting radiation, i will have to increase the range of motion in my left arm so it will be out of the way during treatment. i may have to see an occupational therapist to help with that.
today, was my first day back working and it went fine. a few technical issues, but fine for the most part. i have another post op plastics appointment this week and this will be the appointment where the expanders get filled with saline instead of air. i am hoping to get good footage of the process and will be posting it here in case any of you wanted to see it!
. . .
just a reminder, i am still raising funds for boot walk which will be held on november 15th this year. you are all welcome to join us. it’s always a fun day!
fin.
