so yeah…it’s been quite a while since my last update. let’s face the elephant in the room head-on shall we?

hi! my name is anna-marie, and i’m a terrible blogger.

ok, now that we’ve gotten that out of the way let me say…i have missed you guys. life has been lifin’ and although i am the queen of procrastination, you have definitely not been out-of-sight-out-of-mind.

as we wrap up thanksgiving and get full-swing into the “holiday season” i wanted to make sure i thanked you, my village, for everything you do. you guys are consistently checking up on me and making sure i am well taken care of. i appreciate every one of you and do not take anything for granted.

i know i haven’t touched base with you but this year has been filled with many ups and downs.

a big down. i didn’t really talk about it, but marvin (my bro-in-law) passed away earlier this year and it was really hard on us all. he was diagnosed with cancer before me, lung. he had undergone treatment, and was seemingly doing well for a while. but there were some things his body just couldn’t shake. the one thing about this disease that i find so jarring, is the speed at which it takes you. its like, once it’s ready, it comes at you fast as shit. and although i had seen it with a few of my group members, nothing can prepare you for it up close. marvin was a strong mf’er, and dealt with a lot of pain over the years…his passing was hard af. and close af.

the up. i have really been trying to live my life balls to the wall and do everything. i don’t want to miss a thing. and regret nothing. i have been on planes…near and far. checking off bucket list todo’s and destinations. spending time with friends and family as much as possible. y’all i am determined to experience everything in this life while i still can. i just got back from morocco a week or so ago, and let me tell you — it was amazing. a time was had and i am so thankful i was able to experience it, not-so-much the flu i caught on the way home! i’m still writing that blog post in my head — it will eventually make it’s way to my bucket list page. the plan is to get to venice next — i have to see it. i simply must.
