how do you pray?

how do you pray? where did you learn? how has it evolved over the years? these are the things i think about, more now than ever before.

i was talking to my dad the other day and he mentioned that he is a strong believer in what he calls “blessings by association.” when he prays for you, he’s praying that you and the people who you are associated with receive blessings from God. your co-workers, friends and even their friends and associates are included. even people you do not like or particularly care for are also blessed by association.

the more i hear him talk about it, the more it stays on my mind. what a beautiful concept. how awesome is that? that even if you are not on someone’s defined prayer list, that you are still being prayed for? and so are the people in your orbit.

short post. just passing on what’s been heavy in my mind.

a jam…

What deep, powerful thoughts Anna. Your dad is right…prayer is powerful, and deep relationship with God through prayer is essential for life.

    Morning, AM
Prayer is simply and yet powerfully a conversation with the heavenly father. I talk to him about whats on my heart. God has given us the gift of prayer and He tells us to pray without ceasing. (Philippians 4:6-7) I pray for my family, friends and people I don’t know. I pray for their salvation (Romans 10:9-10). I pray when I get Amber Alerts that the child will be returned to their family. (Psalm 91:11) I pray for healing full aware that God’s will be done(Jeremiah 17:14)…When I’m overwhelmed and don’t know what to pray, I pray the Lord’s prayer often(Matthew 6:9-13). I’m praying for you as I type this response. I love you 💖💖💖
