so i owe y’all a few updates. but that’s gotta wait for now. i have to tell you about the power of prayer, friends, family, and my goodness, just the way this village has showed up, and showed out.

you guys are keeping me wrapped in prayer. and i just wanted to take some time out to thank you for it. this shit, forgive me – but he knows my heart, is not an easy pill to swallow. and there is no way i have maintained an iota of sanity without every single one of you.

i woke up a few minutes ago to a text from a villager that i just had to share…

warning. i’m tired, and i’m one thousand percent sure this story is going to be too wordy to follow. so you might have to read it a few times.

y’all. she was telling me how my mother and i have been added to her extended prayer group that included friends in georgia who are elders in their church. well tonight the elders received a prayer request from one of their fellow church friends. and guess who it was for? me and momma. again. only they weren’t sure. the names were the same, the story also very similar, so they picked up the phone and asked her if it was the same people that they had already been praying for. of course it was. the church member even sent along a photo. you know, i guess to make doubly sure we don’t really all look alike to jesus!!

how awesome is that? as if we needed any further confirmation — the power of prayer.
