my recent obsession

so yeah i’ve alluded to this in other posts, but i am seriously obsessed with the images from my scans. i have almost all of them, still holding out on the echo because i can’t figure out how to get it from medical records just yet.

i think my mother would absolutely not approve of this, i’m also sure a few of you wouldn’t disagree, but i can’t look away.

does that make me seem crazy? is it productive? who the hell knows. at this point, i’m just grabbing at straws people and dragging you with me. you’re welcome.

so…do y’all want to see some images of my cancer? posting them after the break in case it’s too much…you’ll have to click page number 2 below to view them.

guess i better start this with….i ain’t no doctor or nuffin, i just play one in my head, specifically while viewing these images.

ok first up we’ll take a look at the mass that started it all. this part that really glows is the cancer. looks pretty large here right? again…how have i not paid attention to my body for so long? folks, if this learns you anything. do your breast exams, and even if you are convinced its nothing, go find out anyway. and that doesn’t mean stop with the ob or pcp, don’t be cheap like me, get the mammos.

next up should be the lymph nodes, but yeah i’d have to ask someone to point it out to me again. i swear the majority of these look like rorshach tests, so we’ll move along to the immediate danger, as if cancer wasn’t enough – my vertebrae.

so, i probably didn’t choose the best image, for this one. there are tons, but if you look at my spine you can see that all of the vertebrae follow pretty much the same format, kinda uniform in layout and design…then you see a kind of void in the matrix.

that void is the cancer.

<adding space here so more of the picture will appear, if you’re on your phone, you might want to turn it sideways for landscape viewing>

for my last trick, i’ll show you my whole skeletal body. i didn’t have many to choose from for it, it’s not super clear, but it basically highlights the cancer in my bones. fun stuff.

really puts that back pain i’ve been attributing to an old mattress into perspective. /sarcasm.
