FCKuCANCER.

yup. more scans. this time, in the radiologist’s office. my village today was momma and elena. i laid on a table that basically had an air mattress/bean bag on it. once i laid down, it started filling up with air and that activated the beans. the tech pushed the beans in place to make a form of my body. a cast if you will. then the air sucked out and it was left with the form. the scan, scanned. when it was over, he had me stay still on the table and called my attention to the over head beam lights that were basically shining on my abdomen. he marked on my body, with a sharpie ala cosmetic reconstruction surgery, where the lights hit and im supposed to keep these markings on my body for the duration of the 10 radiology sessions. good luck. he put clear stickers over the marks. i asked him for extra’s in case they come off, he wasn’t concerned at all with that happening. assured me i’d be fine. i’ll give you one guess…and yes, you are correct, kinda.

that was the appointment. i did speak with the radiation oncologist before the scan and he answered some follow-up questions i had…nothing big to report that hasn’t already been stated.

my infusion therapy was up next. momma came in with me, elena stayed in the lobby. it was really quick. washed hands, weighed. checked vitals. shot to the arm, bam done. time to go home.

that would’ve been it, but i failed to mention that on the way to today’s appointment i wrecked my car. fun times. one car accident…some might say i hydroplaned on a dry road…if you know, you know 🙂

yeah so i hit a curb, and all of the lights came on in my car. we made it to the appointments but afterwords i drove it to the dealership which happens to be right across the street from the hospital.
