today they wanted to get a baseline of my heart activity to make sure it can take chemotherapy and to be able to better monitor the effect it has on my body. its basically an ultrasound of my heart. i could see things open and close on screen but yeah, still looked like snow. i also heard my heart beat which was pretty cool.
all in all, just another test.
next up, follow up with with my oncologist to go over the test results from yesterday. this one didn’t go so well. i mean it went as i expected, but not what we were hoping for. the cancer has metastasized beyond my breast and lymph nodes into my spine. specifically two vertebrae and a few other spots in my pelvic region.
my staging has now been upped to stage iv. i have to get mri’s of my thoracic vertebrae and lumbar, with and without contrast. port placement surgery tomorrow.
i basically belong to science at this point.
